Opening storageLAB

Simulation of modern storage technology; first European demo center with XIV system

E-Storage opens up a revolutionary demo center in Nieuwegein, the Netherlands. The demo center provides simulations and demonstrations of state of the art storage technology. Moreover, E-storage demonstrates as a first in Europe the XIV system. This groundbreaking system is based on grid technology, allowing the system to consist of standardized components. The XIV system offers automated management and a one to three times higher utilization rate than conventional systems. Besides, it offers a much lower TCO than traditional systems and fits well in a green data center.

In the demo center, E-Storage organizes tailor-made meetings to acquaint customers with the functionality of storage products and combinations thereof. In addition, the demo center is the perfect environment for Proof of Concept projects. This allows customers to assess their functional requirements in a new infrastructure.

“We are very proud of our new demo center. It is an excellent location for qualifying new products and their operation and add them into these existing structures to prepare them for the future. This is best described as innovation through the E-Storage road map,” said Frans Blankert, general manager at E-Storage. "Being the first with a XIV system, makes the demo center even more special. We are confident that E-Storage offers the right solution, even for the most demanding environments.”

“E-Storage distinguishes itself by innovating through a road-map. Today, it is difficult for IT departments to choose between the numerous new products and manufacturers that are flooding the market. Let alone to judge whether a solution works well in their IT architecture. We know and master the latest technological developments and also have the facility to allow customers the right choice,” said Erwin van der Linden, technical director at E-Storage.
